We acknowledge there are many definitions of yoga; for our purposes, “yoga” refers to the practice of physical exercises that are commonly known as poses or asanas.
What is “Christ Centered Yoga™”?
Christ Centered Yoga™ is a physical practice whose goal is to draw the practitioner into a personal connection with Christ by studying God’s word and allowing its truth to lay the mental and spiritual foundation by which we add the physical practice of yoga. By incorporating all that we are - body, mind, and spirit - into our yoga practice, it becomes a moving prayer of praise and worship of Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement
The purpose of Christ Centered Yoga™ is to share with believers and seekers alike the glory and grace of the Everlasting God as manifested by the love of Christ and as guided by the Holy Spirit through the venue of yoga.
Vision Statement
We do this by sharing Christ Centered Yoga™ classes, training instructors who then impact their communities, serving others through donation classes, scholarships and outreach ministries, and partnering with individuals and groups to further our mission.
Statement of Faith
We believe there is only one God, who exists for all eternity in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe there is only one way to God, through his Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6). We believe that God loved the world so much that he gave his only son so that all who believe in him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). We believe God sent his son into the world not to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:17). We believe the Bible is absolute truth; the divinely authored and authoritative Word of God. |
